You need to find out precisely what you can both afford and are willing to pay. It might turn out that getting a second bedroom isn't in your budget.

What is your reasoning for wanting an apartment with an extra bedroom? Do you want to use it as a guest room, office, yoga studio, or podcast set? If you have a specific use for the extra room, it can be worth it.
